New Underwater Species

This month, during a deep-sea expedition off Canada's Atlantic coast, some very new and exiting discoveries have been made. One of them is a new species of purple octopus that remains unidentified. There have been 11 potential brand new species discovered there thanks to a vehicle called ROPOS which is allowing the research team to reach new depths underwater. Because of it, they are able to see more and discover new species in the ''alien'' place.
This article has to do with biology because biology itself is the study of life and this expedition is allowing research teams to do just that. They are studying new life underwater with the help of technology and as a result, they have found 11 potential new species of life that no one has ever documented.
We should care about this because if people are finding new species of animals out there, there could be many beneficiary things that come out of it. For example, some medical or biological breakthrough can come out of studying these new species of creatures that could possibly even help us humans. It is always good to know as much as possible about the wild life out there as well.
