New Body Parts

Have you ever thought about being able to grow another arm? This is not about being a vampire or a werewolf, this is happening in real life. Scientist now are growing new body parts outside the body! Imagine being about to get a new ear after it might have been injured. Scientist are now creating a new type of medicine that allows them to grow and safely put these new parts into the human body. These are called Regenerative medicines. If these medicines do actually work, imagine how you will never be afraid to get injured again.

Scientist was inspired by the salamander. These strange creatures are able to grow a whole new arm after being injured. Scientist are taking cells from the body called stem cells to help this experiment. Since the stem cell can specialize in any function in our body and become any type of cell, they only need to know what you need and turn the stem cells into what you need. When these parts are finish, you can put them into the human body.

This is important to us because if the can actually make this super medicine, we will never have to be afraid to loss an arm or two. You can be in a car accident and not be afraid to get hurt because you know that you can just grow back whatever you lost in that accident.
