Bats Dying becuase of Fungus

Lately experts have indentified a nonstop, spreading plague that has killed more than a million bats across the eastern U.S. This mysterious fungus threatens to distrupt the ecological balance. This fungus is called the White-Nose Syndrome because of the white substance found on the noses of bats. The fungus causes the bats to move around during the winter when they are suppose to be hybernating. Bats are not suppose to move around during hybernation because it causes them to burn calories when they should be reserving energy. Scientist arent sure how the fungus affects the bats, nor how to stop it.

This is related to the biology concept becuase the spread of the fungus can affect the people. Scientist are also trying to figure out a way how to stop they spread from country to country. the spread of the fungus is real and it can kill all the bats because this is spread through a bat to bat transmission.

This is important because bats eat insects that have contact with the crops that we eat. So if this is not solved we have to pervent the spread from reaching us. Its important for the people, especially farmers to know the reason why the crops are destroyed.
