It Comes with the Whole Package

Most know about the oil break at the Gulf of Mexico. What some might now know is that the oil affects all the organisms in the water and probably above the water too. Scientists have been observing a specific population in the Gulf. This population is the Blue Crab population. This research was done so that the researchers could determine how much the ecosystem is affected. A discovery about the Blue Crab population in that their larvae happened to be contaminated by the oil. These larvae get eaten by other living organisms.
This relates to biology, because the eggs are being eaten. That is the big fact and could end up becoming very serious. Why could it be so serious? It could be serious because the fact that other fishes eat the eggs mean that they will have oil in their systems. As the food chain is, there will be something that will eat up that fish. Then it goes on through the whole food chain. Another relation is that water id essential to life. We only have the water that we are given, and that water is being contaminated. What this means is that the amount of water that we have is decreasing. Next thing you know, our water will be gone and we will be left thirsty.
Water is important! We would not be able to survive without it. To me personally, I would rather starve than die of thirst. We should take care of the situation now rather than later, when everything will be worse, Other than the water, is the food chain. The food chain includes us also because we eat fish too and some of them could've been from the Gulf. And if the oil first started at the eggs and traveled up the food chain, then it probably already went through us. So we would also be affected by the oil, and that can cause great harm to us.
