Stress; a womans worst enemy

We all know that stress is not good for our health and that it causes complications such as trouble sleeping. But now researches are finding out that stress can cause infertility. Scientist found out that women who stoped using contraceptives took longer to get pregnant if they were stressed. High saliva levels of the enzyme alpha amylase is a biological indicator of stress. During a study that tracked 274 British women from ages 18-40 who were trying to conceive, they found that women with the highest concentration of alpha amylase were 12 percent less likely to get pregnant compared to women who had lower levels of this stress enzyme.

This relates to biology because with this new study we are finding out that stress does hurt women's reproductive system. What makes women different from men is that they have the ability to reproduce but more and more women are losing this ability because they are too stressed out.

This is important because we need to know that stress is very bad for our bodies especially women. Taking care of ourselves and our health should be our priority. So next time you fell stressed out remember your putting yourself at risk for infertility, but no worries because stress can be easily prevented by doing yoga, and breathing exercises.
