In a Norwegian study, more than 5,000 teens from age 13-18 were asked questions about their physical activity and smoking habits. Their weights were recorded as well. 36% of the girls reported frequent headaches, and 21% of the boys reported headaches in the last year. 16% of students were overweight, 19% of students smoked, and 31% exercise less than twice a week, according to the findings.
This is an important issue to address. Teens who are overweight and poor eating habits result in early migraine symptoms and frequent headaches. Smoking increases the chances that will happen. The cigarette smoke constricts the blood vessels and the nicotine dilates the arteries causing headaches.
I'm fairly healthy, I don't smoke, not overweight, I eat right, and I exercise pretty often. Because of the technology that we have, people don't necessarily have to go to the supermarket to buy their food, instead order their food online and have them shipped. Also many foods include toxins that lingers inside the body and takes some time to get out. That is a function of fat cells, I'm pretty sure of it anyways... The teens that smoke do not consider the consequences of smoking. First time smokers cough heavily for a reason, the body identifies the nicotine as a poison a toxin and expels the toxin asap. Babies would have the same reaction inside their undeveloped immune system when an infant swallows honey, yes babies can't eat any honey products. We as teens need to restrain ourselves from worldly needs. Animals in the wild don't hunt others for the fun of it or for a trophy so why should we teens, as the future leaders of the world, be a puppet for the "Grim Reaper" that is fast food and drugs. It gets us nowhere and would just be a real life version of "Click." Skipping through the most important things because of desire.
