A Driverless Car

We have been hearing talk of the day where cars will be able to drive themselves. All anticipating the day it would finally come true, but who would have expected it to come so quickly. This upcoming September, a driverless Audi TTS will drive to the top of Colorado’s Pike Peak of about 100 kilometers per hour. This type of creation has been modified several times over numerous years, and after several trial and errors engineers and automakers believe they might have finally created a working driverless automobile. Not only will this new creation be something for us humans to fond over, but they believe it can lower the mortality rate in accidents mostly caused by drivers themselves. If not monitored and taken care of by 2020, traffic fatalities will be the third leading cause of mortality worldwide. Therefore, this driverless Audi TTS can open the doors to a safer lifestyle for us humans as well as put us one step closer to the modernized world we dream of.

This work of art has not yet been tested and has several components in which it has to include in order for the auto industry to officially call it autonomous driving; therefore the hopes of it changing our day to day lives can still take some time if an error occurs. Except even if it takes automakers longer to complete this ongoing project, the fact that it is now a possibility shows how far science has come. Engineers and automakers have already successfully created hybrid cars, as well as cars that can park themselves. So with that said, a car that can drive itself does not sound so crazy to us anymore, actually it sounds like a vehicle that will fit right in with our society today.

Knowledge is a gift that many people have and many people wish they had more of. This driverless Audi TTS involved much new knowledge for the automakers and engineers. By them putting in the extra effort to change our world, it can impact us in ways we will not imagine. This creation is not only going to be safer for pedestrians and vehicles on the road, but it will be environmental friendly currently something very important to the Earths’ population. This car, as well as projects similar to its kind is leading us into a world of new technology that will not only help us but make life simpler, a thought any human would love to see come true.
