Are We Dying a Slow Death?

As we all should know, plants and trees absorb the carbon us humans let out, and in return they produce oxygen which is an essential requirement of survival. Lately on our planet Earth, the temperatures all around has been rising causing several natural disasters and survival scares; except now we might have another situation to be worrisome of. A new study based on meteorological data and NASA satellite data shows that the amount of carbon being absorbed from plants and trees has decreased within the past decade. Although to some this discovery may not seem too drastic, it is. If the only resources we have for cleaning up the carbon us humans produce decreases its production rate or even die out, we will no longer have access to the amount of oxygen needed for the human population to survive. This will eventually cause mortality throughout the human race. The overall reason studies believe plants and trees absorption of carbon is decreasing is due to the increase in temperature our planet has been experiencing. This factor is important because warmer temperatures are the peak seasons for droughts to take place, meaning less water cycles occurring, resulting in lack of carbon admission through plants and trees.

Biology plays a huge role in this situation. The term “biology” refers to the study of life, and if life is being damaged such as plants and trees due to the climate changes of our Earth, then every other life form that depends on them will begin to have damage as well. With this new climate change it will bring in a lot more drought seasons to our communities, resulting in plants and trees decreasing their absorption of carbon even greater. The outcome to this disaster is scary and worrisome since this will impact us humans as well.

Knowing that the largest source for oxygen production is currently experiencing problems is something that should be broadcasted throughout the media. This is a serious problem that humans should be aware of since it involves their own lives. Hopefully this situation does not worsen as the months prolong, because if it does then the options we have left will not be lengthy and will result in serious problems for us to face. The plants and trees are trying to show us humans that there is something serious occurring within our plant Earth, and if it does not stay constant or get better than the options we have left will not be good to look forward too.
