Boy Tested for STDs After Finding Condom in Hotel Room

After finding a used condom in his Atlanta hotel, the four-year old is being tested for STD/HIV. The young boy thought the condom was a balloon and tried to blow it up. The grandmother was in the bathroom and as she heard a scream she ran out to see that her grandson had the condom with semen in his mouth. The grandmother noticed white blisters all around the boy’s mouth and took him to the hospital to be tested. She then contacted the hotel manager and filed a complaint and then she contacted the police. As of now, the family is waiting on the test results.
This topic relates to science and biology because of sexually transmitted diseases and also bodily fluids. It relates to the chapter of male and female reproductive systems. In this specific topic it talks about the male’s side. To an extent this topic lets the public understand practicing safe sex by using a condom.
We should care about this topic because the level of STD and HIV are increasing rapidly. We know that these diseases are sexually transmitted however this young boy only placed the used condom in his mouth yet white blisters appeared. This may be a warning that HIV is becoming stronger and may have other ways to enter our bodies.
