Stop Hurting Them!

As all may know, plastic cannot be rid of. The average amount of plastic that one uses within a year is equivalent to 190 pounds. All this cam include daily things like bottled water, syringes, garbage bags, etc. A person can start using plastic the day they are born, because we supply babies with lots of plastic things, such as plastic milk bottles, toys, and food in plastic containers. The human race has been using plastic since very long ago. Now think, if we have been using a lot every year, where does it go to after being used? The answer is our planet and our oceans. Just like most of our trash, plastic is buried underneath the earth in landfills. Other times, it is thrown into the water, which will eventually drift to other parts of the world. These other parts all have its own animals that live there and we are sending harm in their direction.
Biology is greatly affected by us. Because we use so much plastic that eventually spread out, we are hurting other organisms. An example would be choking penguins. Not many people would agree on choking a penguin, but most of us are doing it without realizing it. The plastic soda rings that we use are also thrown into the ocean. Penguins swim in the ocean and occasionally swim into one of the rings. This can cause suffocation to the animal. Also, while in the water, all types of organism can eat the plastic. The consumption of plastic can hurt the body in many different ways.
We should care about this issue because we are the ones that are causing it. We are hurting our "brothers and sisters". Like the example above, plastic can destroy the penguins' existence if this continues. The penguins could be on the verge of endangerment right now and it could be all our fault. Plastic is a killer and we are being its accomplice. I believe that no one would want to live with the guilt of the penguins' extinction.
