Trash Isn't so Trashy Anymore

We live in a world where everyone wants to be the creator for the next big thing, eco-friendly wise. In a canyon close to San Francisco, Waste Management and German gas refiner, a landfill operator are using technology and knowledge to transform trash into liquid natural gas. This is a process that might stir up big controversy, but will definitely eliminate the amount of green house gasses that we produce each year as well as limit the need of diesel fuel. The natural gas that it produced from trash will be used in garbage trucks specially converted to manage the use of this gas. It will decrease the amount of trash this world holds in storage with no purpose, and hopefully this will result in a greener environment for us all to live in. Using this liquid natural gas to fuel garbage trucks is the first step, while the next will be to hopefully fuel any vehicle limiting the diesel fuel production rate dramatically. The biogas, or gas that is created from human garbage, is increasing so with these landfills putting the trash to good use this will cause the levels of pollutants in the air to decrease.

Global warming is a topic that is causing many scares throughout the lives of humans. It is the deciding factor as to wither Earth stays capable of managing human survival or if Earth will become too toxic and harmful for any living organism. All the harmful waste us humans are putting into the atmosphere is destroying our mother Earth, so with the liquid natural gas slowly being produced it can allow scientist to produce other vehicles capable of carrying this unique gasoline. As well as open their eyes to other alternatives that can help our planet stay safe and human friendly.

We all want to live in a planet similar to how it was before this global warming fiasco took place. Researchers show signs for how this world might turn out if things do not change, but they also show discoveries and progress of ways to stop this disaster from taking place. This idea in particular is wonderful for bringing us to the next step of healthier living. Why should we care that someone has finally found a solution to our trash dilemma? This is a question that should not be asked since it successfully impacts all living organisms’ life and can only do great things.

  1. I'm glad that we can take something that was polluting our planet and turn it into something that can sort of save our planet.
