New Gel Heals Wounds Faster Then Ever

Everyone in the world has gotten a cut or two, and as everyone knows it bleeds till the blood coagulates. yet, what happens if you had a big cut that needed stitches, it would bleed as lot more and the coagulation would take longer. on the battlefield where proper treatment may not be available soldiers need something to help stop the bleeding quickly. that's where this new gel-like substance comes in. it speeds up coagulation at a very modest price of about 10 dollars a use. which might seem like a lot, but the gel doctors usually use costs about 500 dollars.

This is relevent to science becasue the composition of the gel is a large breakthrough in coagulation-gel science. the expensive gel used today is made of the same organic materials as various cell walls, the beaks of squids, and the shells of lobsters and crabs. eventhough this gel, being organic, breaks down into human-friendly material inside the body it is very easily contaminated by viruses. this new gel is made of water and a fibrous polymer, which is a hyrdrogen-based material. because the gel is synthetic it cannot be contaminated by viruses.

We should care about this new gel because it coyuld become the furture of healing. instead of going to the emergency room to get bandaged up into a mummy, you could just put some of the gel onto the wound and move on. to prove the blood-stopping power of this gel, scientists cut open a sheep and sliced its lungs and liver. the lungs stopped bleeding within two minutes while the liver stopped bleeding within five. we should all hope that this new gel might be given to teh masses.
