Gulf Wildlife Still at Risk

The oil may have stopped but that doesn't mean that everyone's off the hook. There are still many animals in danger because of the lingering oil that has yet to dissolve. Many pelicans have been taken from their home to be cleaned. The oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico ecosystem isn't just affecting specific organisms, its affecting a whole community. Specialists have to watch the whole food chain.

This relates to science and biology because it discusses a very important crisis involving the organisms of the Gulf of Mexico ecosystem. It discusses the chain reaction between the different animals in the ecosystems. If one organims like the fish die out because of the oil it will effect the pelicans and other fish eating birds, it's a chain reaction kind of thing.

This is a very important topic. We should care because it involves us humans. Humans caused the oil spill by drilling and now all of the animals have to pay for it. If we're not careful than we could pay for it too. Last time I heard the oil spill was so bad that it could eventually spread to a point that it would effect the way we live. It could be different now but if it's not than something has to be done before things get to carried away.
