Frozen Humans

Drosophila melanogaster, commonly known as a fruit fly, holds a powerful genetic system that could become of use to us humans. Scientist believes that by shutting down the fruit flies molecular thermostat it could result in a newly discovered cold tolerance which can be of use to many operations. Including prolonging the 24-hour time space donated organs have for successful use. This sudden breakthrough was thought of by Daniel Shain, a biology professor at Rulgers- Camden. Originally, this man was on a quest to prove how successful ice worms can live in the glaciers, and then when the idea came to him to see which other organism can survive this change he figured it could be of assistance to us humans. The thought of having a chance to postpone how long a donated organ can survive is extreme in itself, but the next step as Daniel Shain already said is to find a way for human cells to live on ice because if that happens then organs should be able to do the same.

This breakthrough idea can open doors for the human population. These days, more and more humans are developing illnesses too drastic for a prescription of anti-biotic to cover, resulting usually in an organ transplant. With organ transplants comes organ donors, and although their doing something kind hearted it is not up to them to say how long an organ can last outside of the body. With this new research that scientist has discovered can allow organs to last longer outside of the body all due to a temperature change. This possible experiment is done correctly, will become a key technique in the biology medical fields.

This experiment can be of extreme assistance to the everyday human as well. If an organ is needed for you, this technique will greater your life rate as well as the organs. Thus supplying a survival rate of a higher percentage. This can benefit anyone's life. The closer we get to the future, the more ideas similar to these will begin to form. Not only is it showing signs of a brighter future, but it is showing how open minded the human race is becoming. So look forward to our future and see what science has in store for us.
