Floods in Pakistan

Floods in Pakistan destroys crops and affects an estimate of 20 million people yet people aren't willing to help donate some money. The floods have left atleast one-fifth of the people homeless and killed a tenth of the rest. United Nations have reported this to be the worst flood that has happened so far. Because of these floods, it also affects the humanitarian crisis with fears that Islamic militant groups could make inroads with the vulnerability it resulted in. It is just so bad to the point where no one can understand unless they are living in the shoes of the Pakistani who have lost their homes and or way of living. Now all we can do right now is to help donate money to this cause even if it is not as big as the massive earthquake in Haiti which puverized its city.

Relating to science because of the way Mother Nature affects the land people live on. Floods are dangerous depending on how serious they are and who or what they affect. In this case, it affected many people, causing them to sacrifice more than they have been asked to. Floods are in areas of land that usually start off as very dry land. Floods are caused by heavy rains that pour too much water into rivers and other waterways, making these natural channels unable to carry all the water. Rising water flows over or breaks the banks to the waterways causing the surrounding land to be flooded. Other causes of floods can also come from masses of snow melting of tidal waves.

This is important to know, because as a person we are not obligated in helping another but we are expected to. As a country in war with Afghanistan, the United States along with other countries should try to help and donate money to Pakistan because it is for a good cause and that the United States might also be in danger of going to war with Pakistan for its nuclear weapons. Floods are dangerous depending on where it occurs, and it is pretty obvious that no one would ask for this omen to be upon them. Give a helping hand and donate because karma just might get back at you.
