Drink water to lose weight. Drinking 8-ounce glass of water before breakfast, lunch, and dinner while cutting back on portions may help you lose weight. Dietitians have recommended drinking water as a way to shed pounds, but little evidence was shown to prove that this method actually works. Brenda Davy, the author of the study examines the benefits of “preloading” with water before meals. The study included 48 overweight men and women between the ages of 55-75. Half of the people were instructed to drink 16 ounces of water before meals. After three months, the participants who drank water lost an average of 15.5 pounds. After a full year of the same regimen, the water drinkers slimmed down by an additional 1.5 pounds on average. Drinking more water is a low-risk way to lose weight.
Our body is made up 90% of water. We need water in order to survive. But water also has other benefits that we seem to look past. For example weight loss. Drinking water helps to curb you r appetite. It works just the same way other diet pills work except that it’s safer to use. Drinking water before each meal helps your body to intake less food to get fuller. The body works in wondrous ways and water is needed in order for the body to work.
