The First

A remarkable discovery was made! Scientists have recently discovered a specie that can live without oxygen. This animal was found hidden deep under the Mediterranean Sea. They live with "'poisonous' sulphides."Sulphides is a colorless, poisonous, and flammable gas. At first, it was thought that these have sunk from an upper level area with oxygen, but it was later reveled that there was some eggs present. These creatures are less than one millimeter and are jellyfish shaped. Scientists thought that only single celled organisms can live without oxygen but this proved that we know yet, very little about the earth.

All living things, as we know it, needs oxygen to survive. Try holding you breath for even two minutes, you will suffocate from the lack of oxygen. This is because we need oxygen for our body to function. Our body is designed to take in oxygen and breath out carbon dioxide. If we don't take in oxygen, our cells will die and we will be gone.

This is important because if this tiny animal can function without oxygen, we might be able to do that as well. Scientist will study this strange organism and in 10 or 15 years, humans might be able to do what this tiny organism is doing, function without oxygen. If this can work, we will no longer need a helmet to go into space, we can walk freely on it. We can stay under water for as long as we like.
