Catastrophic Thinking: How to Ensure Oil Spill Disasters Do Not Happen Again

We all about the Oil spill that happen in the Gulf of Mexico. this article is explaining to us, citizens the effects and possibilities of preventing something like this from happening AGAIN. this article ask for citizens to reduce the amount of demands for oil. when the demands increase, BP has to take risky ways to meet the demands of people which then causes catastrophes like this. Suggestions, such as listening to the scientist and having daily check ups can help prevent situations like this from happening.
This article relates to science in the fact that toxic waste is affecting our ecosystems. And if we don't find ways to prevent these occurrences we can wipe out the EARTH. scientist come up with ways to prevent oil spills and build machines that should protect us from disasters. Technology is advancing and citizens need to take advantages of it to help save us.
The Gulf of Mexico is still covered in oil and many organism are in danger and many have lost their lives due to this preventable disaster. the oil spill put many fisherman out of their jobs and caused poverty level to increase. many of us eat sea food and we are greatly affected because the fishes imported to us may contain TOXIC waste that could really damage or kill the human bodies. we should think about millions of species of fishes and other sea creatures that were greatly affected, we all felt the damage of this disaster. gas prices increased and less money was coming in.
